I Aged Today
I aged today,
The earth completely orbited the sun,
I feel no different,
I am half way through, but far from done.
I aged today,
A predetermined number of days are now in the past,
I yet hold no significant claim,
Little time I have, for the sands of time fall fast.
I aged today,
Does not seem so different from the day before,
A chance to shine is getting dull,
I will thrive to live a life that is so much more.
My life is not yet over,
From my destined path I will not stray,
Wisdom finds its way to me, because once again,
I aged today.
